Medical Camp
We organized a multi specialty mega camp at Gadivemula on 25-9-2005. It is inaugurated by Atmakur M.L.A.,
Sri Erasu Pratap Reddy in presence of our Chairman Dr. M. Santhiramudu in Z.P. High School premises. It is
attended by our Director, Medical Services - Dr. S.Guru Reddy, Managing Director - Dr. P. Ravi Babu, and
RMO - Dr. B.V. Subba Reddy along with local surpanch Sri Seetharam Reddy.
A public meeting was held in the Z.P. High School premises to enlighten the public regarding various infectious
and nutritional deficiency diseases.
Nearly 30 doctors in various specialities from Santhiram Medical College General Hospital have rendered their
services. It is attended by over 750 people who were given free medicine.We have identified 20 people in
need of surgery and they are operated free of cost in Santhiram General Hospital.
Till today Total number of 25 Free mega camps including Eye camps were organized by Santhiram General Hospital
in themandals of Nandyal,Panyam,Gadivemula,Giddalur,Palukur,Sanjamala,Kovelakuntla,Gospadu,Mahanandi etc.
where thousands of people were provided with free medical services and medicine.
FRESHERS’ DAY CELEBRATED ON 30-9-2005.
Freshers’ day of 1st batch of M.B.,B.S students was celebrated on 30-9-2005 at 3.30 pm
to 8.30 pm in the college premises. Dr. M. Santhiramudu, Chairman, Santhiram Medical
College presided over the function. Dr. N. Ramachandra Rao, M.D, former professor &
Head, Department of Medicine, Kurnool Medical College and Superintendent.
Government General Hospital, Kurnool, was the chief guest at this function.
Our Chairman Dr. M. Santhiramudu in his address, advised the students to work hard to achieve excellence in
their studies, and asked the students to compete for medals / prizes at national and international level. The chief
guest in his address asked the students to become doctors with compassion. So that, they can serve the
patients and remove their sufferings. He also told the students to understand the patient as a whole including
his/her socioeconomic background besides the illness, so that, the patients can be treated of their diseases and
also they can be educated to prevent many diseases. After the meeting, students presented excellent cultural
events.
